Tied into a small white marlin
I just returned from some offshore fishing in Maryland and not much has changed since I left. Water levels remain very low and water temps are still rather high making for marginal trout fishing. We are due for some rain tonight into tomorrow. Looks like 1/4 in. to an inch of rain should fall in our area. This will improve the fishing although, it depends on how much we get. Either way, I think terrestrials and small dries are a good bet for trout fishing this week. The more water we get the bigger you can go with the size of your flies. We did have some reports of white flies on the Lamoille but they hatch later in the day when water temps are highest. While we are going to see some cool nights midweek, air temps will hit 90 towards Friday. So, it seems like summer is not over yet. We will be guiding throughout the week and we will report back after the rains when we have some more intel.
