20 days left

                                                         Fall bow

10/11 Update: Both the Lamoille and Winooski rivers have received a fair bump up in flows as of 12pm today.  The Lamoille is currently at an unfishable flow and the Winooski is borderline but still going up

The rain/snow has been on and off and rivers have stayed at or above average this week.  They all have good clarity but some, like the Lamoille, are a bit high, yet fishable.  Foliage is winding down and the rivers are a littered with leafy debris.  Water temps have been falling and most rivers are in the upper 40's and lower 50's.  I have been out a bit this week and getting 3or 4 fish in each outing.  A good mix of bows and browns (12-17in.) and they are all getting the winter feedbag on, which u can tell by their fat bellies.  I have not seen a fish rise or a good hatch in at least 10 days, nor have we caught a fish swinging the fly.  All the fish we caught this week were caught dead drifting nymphs on current seams.  Princes are still producing fish as well as copper johns in copper and in black.  I have not done too well with streamers this week but they should be working this time of year.  We have more rain coming but nothing too heavy.  The bigger story will be the cold weather on tap for the weekend with some nighttime temps dipping into the 20's and even teens in some colder spots.  Overall conditions are pretty good so get out there cause there is only about 20 days left of regular trout season.
