It's Been Real

Today is a bittersweet day for me. As I loaded my 12 year old Golden Retriever, Sadie into the car this morning, it dawned on me that Sadie was born the same year as was Green Mountain Troutfitters...2004. 

After 12 incredible seasons, today is my last day at Troutfitters and I'm so grateful for the experiences I've had here and for the amazing people I've gotten to know during my time at GMT. 

In a sense, it seems like just yesterday that Mike and I sat in his living room brainstorming plans for what would become the Green Mountain Troutfitters. But my elderly dog Sadie is a reminder for me of just how long it's been since we flipped that sign to "Open" for the very first time in 2004, and how many great memories have been packed into the past 12 years running GMT alongside a great friend.

Although I'll be taking on a new career within a different industry, I will remain actively involved in the outdoor industry and continue to facilitate Green Mountain Fly Fishing Camps and the Ditch Pickle Classic. You may not see me in the shop anymore, but you'll certainly see me on the water!

Mike will be manning the shop Wednesdays - Sundays (Closed Mon/Tues) through the end of the season, so make sure to swing in for a visit whenever you can.

Thanks to all for putting up with me all these years. It's been real.
